OP "Above & Beyond" Member (500+ posts) Joined: Sep 2009 Posts: 701 Likes: 1 | At a follow up appointment last week, the Oral/Max noted that my husband has bitemporal wasting. I had noticed this about him months before this appointment. I never thought about it since he has lost a lot of weight. But in searching on the internet, I don't see anything that relates to his cancer and treatment. One entry correlated this with a nutritional protein deficiency. He is on a supplement that is high in protein. So I don't know if this is something I should pursue with his doctors.
Has anyone had a similar diagnosis? And what does it mean? Of course, I didn't think to ask about it as there were so many other issues to handle.
