Well, the tumour is still pressing on my jaw/nerve, but the op is now cancelled--new face in the Hn clinic today was another oncologist--my CT scan shows primary is probably lung, it's spread to jaw, lymph-nodes and liver, therefore no point in anything but an attempt at chemo. Won't know anything til at least next Thursday, possibly the week after when I go to a different hospital to see the new team.
So I guess I'm now in the wrong forum eek

CG to Mom, dx 4/25/07 with tongue cancer,T3N0,tx began 7/6/07, 31 tx's of IMRT, 8 cycles of Erbitux. Brachytherapy, surgery, left neck dissection and temp trach placed all on 9/17/07, trach removed 10/17/07. ORN of jaw, late effect of radiation symptoms. **lost my beautiful mother on 5/5/11.

Sorry I've only just seen your post, sorry that you have to join us.
Where are you going to be treated? Have you done a web search on the Docs at the new hospital? Have you spoke to someone at Cancerbackup? Free phone 0808 800 1234 9am - 8pm. Specialist nurse on hand and very good advice and information.
Please keep posting to keep us informed on your treatment.

Hugs and messages SO help! And the irony is, that since my biopsy, 3 weeks ago, jaw is actually more comfortable and can enjoy REAL ones as well as virtual ones!
Got appointment to see new team on Thursday!
