I'm a new member and caregiver too, How is your brother doing? Please keep us posted . My husband was nasty after surgery last fall and wrote nasty notes since he couldn't talk. I saved the notes and we had a good laugh about them a few weeks ago, now that he's finished treatment.

We took him to the hospital at 6a.m. and surgery was complete a little before midnight! Things went well doctors said. I saw him this morning. I really didn't know what to expect but he looked himself with some swelling and staples around his neck, and hooked up to all the machines in the ICU. We'll take things step by step of course but there's some relief having the surgery behind us.
