Patient Advocate (old timer, 2000 posts) Joined: Nov 2002 Posts: 3,552 | I had intractable hiccups on and off and it was miserable, I tried a lot of different things, antiacids, reglan, muscle relaxers, narcotics, compazine, etc. Some things that didn't work were someone scaring you, holding your breath, blowing into a bag, etc. It was pretty wierd in that they would stop when I was eating then start all over when I was done. Drove me nuts. The hiccups and constipation were my Tx low points. The pain from the sores and burns was pretty well managed.
