Joined: Nov 2002 Posts: 458 | Either Vegas or St. Louis would be good, I grew up in St. Louis so know the place intimately, such as price point hotels with good banquet facitilites. Also where to get good fried catfish and hush puppies and some great Italian food.
Downside is STL isn't a major airline hub anymore since the demise of TWA and may not be as easily accessible by air as you would think.
Vegas is fairly well served by airlines, and has a wide variety of hotels, trick is to get a decent price. Desert climate may be difficult for those of us whose saliva glands have been fried.
October is good both places, not so hot in Vegas, not cold yet in St. Louis.

SCC Tongue, stage IV diagnosed Sept, 2002, 1st radical neck dissection left side in Sept, followed by RAD/Chemo. Discovered spread to right side nodes March 2003, second radical neck dissection April, followed by more RAD/Chemo.
