I have had 40 hyperbaric treatments and I am on IV antibiotics (Ivanz). This is my forth week of IV. The infectious disease doctor said that most of his patients with bone infections are completely cleared in 3 weeks. Subjectively, I still have an issue because when I open my mouth wide, I have pain. With other rounds of antibiotics, (through my gtube)-at the end of the round of antibiotics, my jaw had pain upon opening. Has anyone had experience with this or another antibiotic that is more effective? My bone scan showed probable osteomyletis of the jaw. I would appreciate any and all suggestions. My infectious disease doctor is nice but really not interested.
