I have recently been diagnosed with stage 4a SCC of the maxilla & nasal cavity. I've already seen several doctors, most recommend surgical resection, reconstruction, and radiation. I've decided I'm not going to go through surgery and reconstruction. I'm very interested in proton therapy, has anyone had this type of cancer treated using proton therapy only. If so please let me know how successful it was and if there has been any recurrence. Thanks for any insight you can provide.
