Hi everyone,
My father age 60 was diagnosed with oral cancer about one and half years back. He underwent surgery immediately and recovered completely within 2 months. No radiation or chemo was given to him as Doc told that its not required. Now after one and half years, biopsy shows cancer below the wisdom tooth area. Doctor is suggesting removal of teeth and jaw bones from right hand side. DOc is also saying that since he is above 60, reconstruction would be difficult at this age. I want your views on this. Plz help. How he would be able to speak and eat if there is no jaw bones ?
