My mucus was so nasty looking, I couldn't tell what all was mixed in with it. It was different colors and tasted so putrid, could have been blood taste mixed in with putrid taste. I still, believe it or not, have mucus with a putrid taste. But mine could be from something else, after 4 years, so that is why I'm having other tests conducted by ENTs and gastro doctors. All my cancer tests have been Negative for cancer, thank the LORD. I'm sure my poor throat/esophagus being radiated didn't help much either, but I'm alive, and that's what counts. Nov 2007 SCC on right tonsil following tonsillectomy. Was smoker, QUIT. (Stage IV T2 N2b) 7 weeks radiation one day/wk chemo (carboplatin and 5-FU). Allergic to Taxol; PEG in, lost 30 lbs. TX completed January 2008. PEG out mid- 2008. PET/CT 1/17/2011;2/3/12 NEGATIVE for cancer smile
