Patient Advocate (1000+ posts) Joined: May 2009 Posts: 1,412 | YEAH!! I am so glad to read that. I was goint to tell you I had a Hot PET scan, and a visible area that was causing apain. We were all worried about it being cancer again. I did have the surgery to remove that portion, and it was necrosis, not cancer. The PET that was HOT was the inflammation from the area around it.
