We will be leaving in a couple hours. Being that it is his first day it's going to be pretty much an all afternoon thing. His Hematology oncologist wants to watch him closely for any adverse side effects. After the chemo he will receive his first rad treatment. Hubby is most concerned about the radiation. He has been having such terrible nerve pain and muscle spasms in his jaw since the molar extrations on the 21st of Aug. It has really taken a toll on him. ( he did say last night maybe the radiation will deaden his nerves and lessen the nerve pain.~grin~ that's his optimisim kicking in) Needless to say I'm sick to my stomach with the not knowing how it will go. wish us luck!

After that you settle into a routine and it's no big deal. Sometimes I actually looked forward to going to treatment because everyone recognized and knew me around there so it was always fun to talk to them. I hope your husband's first day goes well!
