Oral Cancer Awareness Month is just around the corner! This year Award wining actress Blythe Danner Paltrow has partnered with OCF in a media effort to raise awareness and drive people to April's screenings. While this will involve a variety of mechanisms, one of them will be TV appearances as an OCF spokesperson to talk about the loss of her husband Director Bruce Paltrow to oral cancer, and through that to raise awareness of early signs and symptoms and the need for a annual screening. So far OCF has her booked on the Katie Couric show on March 7th, and on the Rachel Ray show on April 4th. Blythe, along with her daughter Gwyneth Paltrow and son Jake Paltrow, have been strong OCF supporters for many years now, and the impact of their efforts on the foundation's goals cannot be overstated.

We need your help also! Please call your dentist and ask them to participate in Oral Cancer Awareness Month by offering free screenings for a minimum of 3 hours any day in the month of April. I can email you a letter to send to them that has all the information about it. The more screening sites the better!! Please email [email protected] if you would like to help us this year.

By coincidence, I'm going to be in the studio audience on Thursday for the Katie Couric Show. I knew it would be about cancer, but glad it will include oral cancer. and screening.

Lol. Hopefully it doesn't snow. Three fellow cancer fighters are coming up from Virginia for the show.

Not going to the show tomorrow. My friends had to bail out. Weather is going to be bad for them to travel to NYC.

The show will tape tomorrow and will play on air on the 13th. That is the most current thing that I have been told.
