Jack had a CAT scan that showed an asymmetrical soft tissue density at the base of his tongue to the right of the midline. His doctor, who I don't have a great deal of confidence in, stuck his finger down Jack's throat on to say that he didn't feel anything so must be OK. Should I be concerned about these CAT scan findings? If so, what would likely be the next step to make sure this density thing is not another oral cancer for Jack.
By the way, Jack's infection from his surgery two weeks ago is clearing up since he's been on the antibiotics and he's feeling so much better. Again, I give thanks to all the fine people on this message board who offered their sound advice about his smelly breath!
