He had a PET scan on Monday. He also started his 3rd 5 day round of chemo on a pump he carries around. No real side effects. So different from the high powered chemo he had the first time around.
He is on Keytruda which might mean something to some of you.

The tumor was 4 cm and is now 2.5 cm. They might do a 4th round before going to Mayo for proton radiation therapy.

He still hasn't really looked for a job after 6 months. He could totally work through these treatments....he said he actually feels better because the pain is gone.

just wanted to share how this has been going.

As far as I know, Keytruda is an immunotherapy drug. That would explain why he doesn’t show a lot of side effects like when he was on chemo last. The drug works by getting the body’s own immunity system to recognize the cancer and destroy it. If the cancer is shrinking, maybe he’s responding to the treatment.

thanks for the explanation. I haven't done much reading about the Keytruda, I just hear him mention it to people.
