| | Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 1 Member | | Member Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 1 | my boyfriend went for a normal check up and the denstist noticed some disformation in the back right side of his mouth. he went to the er and they did a biopsy and said it was oral cancer. now he has to have surgury to remove the tissue and his three back teeth. that is all he told me i haven't talked to him in a month (b/c i am on an internship 3,000 miles away) so i don't know if he had the surgury and i don't know if everything is ok for right now. can someone please let me know if they have any idea what stage of cancer he could possibly be in. the doctor said that they would have to see if the cancer spred to other parts of his mouth, so im guessing that it isn't in a very far stage but i could be wrong. please if anyone has any insite that would be great.

Welcome to the site. I'm sure there are many people that would hop in and give you information, but you really would have to supply more information to us. If he does have oral cancer - things should be moving pretty fast for him and his treatment. If you can find out more from him it would be helpful. Until then you might want to go to the sitemap on this site and do some reading - it also has a section on staging, treatments, and variuos information not found anywhere else.
