I have a question to those with a tongue flap. Mine seems to be separating a bit and kind of sticking up more than it ever has, I saw my oral surgeon two weeks ago, he said everything looked fine. I see my oncologist Tuesday. I am gonna ask him about it. Just wondering if anyone else experienced this. Thanks!!!Carol

I was checked by my oral surgeon and oncologist Tuesday. My oral surgeon recommends I have surgery on the flap to sort of sew it back down. He said it has lifted and separated a bit, probably from more use. That was a relief, let me tell you!!! So I will get more details and plan the surgery soon I hope! Thanks again and God Bless!!! Carol

On another note, I wanted to mention that yesterday I was placed "on hold" over the phone with a dental office (my daughter had her wisdom teeth pulled today) and I was so pleased to hear a message telling of the importance of early detection of oral cancer. It mentioned that altho it is a life threatening cancer, it is a VISIBLE cancer so early detection can be accomplished and is so important! I will leave our OCF brochures next visit! Carol
