Ditto to advice already posted, and may I add, don't forget to keep your calories and water intake up to spec; i.e., at least 48 Oz water and 2,500 cal/day.
Also, very soon you will learn whether you are going to react to the chemo by having constipation, or diarrhea. If it is constipation, do not delay taking laxatives. My MO suggested Miralax (wal-mart sells it as Equate) which is a polypropylene glycol powder, and when that alone did not work, eventually settled on two Ducolax tablets.
Constipation can be fierce under Cisplatin (and probably most other chemos) so don't delay. As with everything else in this fight, you must learn to be PRO-active.
