Hi Jason,
You're my age and had similar treatment to mine. I had my left lower jaw removed and replaced with bone from my leg and also had radiation and a neck dissection. I finished treatment on July 10th, 2003 and I'm now 14 months post treatment, 17 months post surgery. I feel fantastic even though I have a few surgeries looming to take care of some minor cosmetic issues and dental implants for my lower jaw.
Did you have a neck dissection?
I am assuming that your children are still quite young, I hope they are dealing with it well and that life is beginning to get back to normal.
Take care and ask any and all questions you may have.
Minnie

We will all miss her greatly.

Jason,

It looks we were diagnosed at about the same time. Actually, I had my biopsy 7/18 and the hammer dropped when I got the phone call 7/21. I am glad to see you are finally visiting us in the flesh (well, sort of ). Your story was just great, knowing that you were sitting around every day reading all of the posts.

I don't know if any of us could have made at without all of us! Glad to have you here.

Ed
