My husband had the same experience four weeks after. He still had a lot of face, neck swelling at the time. We went to the Dr. because the fluid leaking was yellowy green in color and it was infected. It was a good thing as we would not have known of the infection otherwise. He was put on antibotics but told to let it drain freely. It leaked for several days which was great because most of his swelling went away. Hope this helps.

hi karen, thank you for your response.. my dad's swelling actually seemed to have gone down too.. he was already being treated for an infection which i think is good.. we called the ENT and he said to continue covering up and making sure it doesnt get worse... thank you again Karen, your response was a huge help..
