Geri-CG to husband Richard, 62 yrs old. Former smoker, quit 30yrs ago, light drinker. Dx after tests with BOT T1N1M0. Tx to start by end of Dec. Seven wks IMRT with 2x Cisplatin-2x Erbitux. Peg in 12/08- removed 4/21/09. Looking good so far. Clear Pet &MRI 8/2/09

I am so sad that you are having such a difficult time. There are a lot of us out there who read your posts and even though we don't always reply, you've made us laugh. That is a gift, to be able to help others find the humor in the most unlikely situations. Thank you for your responses and thoughtful entries. I wish you did not have to be in such pain.

Jim, my heart is breaking right now. You and Christine have been amazing encouagers for me and often bring me back to reality. This Cancer sucks. I will be praying for you and I am going to add you to payer list at church. May the Lord get you through this time. Even though, I have never met you I feel like I have known you for a long time. You will be in my thoughts.

Husband: 3 SCC gum and cheek cancers 2002, 2005, 2006: surgery only. Scans clear after removal of small, well differentiated, non-invasive cancers. No radiation. 4th SCC lip diagnosed 4/13/07 - in situ, removed in biopsy. More lip removed 2/8/08 - dysplasia. 2 Biopsies 3/17/09 no cancer (lichenoids)

Partial glossectomy (25%) anterior tongue. 4/6/07/. IMRT start @5/24/07 (3x) Erbitux start/end@ 5/24/07. IMRT wider field (30x) start 6/5/07. Weekly cisplatin (2x30mg/m2), then weekly carbo- (5x180mg/m2). End of Tx 19 July 07.

Successful lumpectomy, sentinal nodes clear, RT only-2008 Reconstruction of mandible w fibula free flap-Jan 09. TORS removal of begnin pappiloma from esophagus-2010. Masectomy,rt breast 2013.
