Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 476 | PLEASE don't take this the wrong way BUT if Ron does have the surgery and continues smoking and drinking won't the cancer come back? Unfortunately the only way he will quit either is when he is ready to. I can't imagine how difficult it is for you to watch someone you love be on such a destructive path. I pray he "wakes up" and chooses life and living over death.
