The events part of the site has been working fine for the week that it has been up, after beta testing it with several people before it went live. The walk you are referring to does appear there in the awareness walk section. Here is the direct link.

You can check the weather before the walk in one click, you can get directions to it and see a map of where it is. There are other features being added to the pages as Chester gets the software written in the next week or so.
