First, let me say that OCF decided to spend the money for this outreach for several very specific reasons. The first is the survivors on this board are a wealth of information to newcomers down the path of this very rocky road. The supplemental information that you all provide to them, makes their journey easier. An informed patient is one that makes the best decisions.

Second, besides the technical help and question answering, emotional support is more than a comfort when you are going through this, it is a therapeutic aid of high importance. This forum/support group family has that in spades.

But it has not been lost on me either that the ranks of our volunteers, our donors, those that make OCF even possible, come from people who have been served here on this board. They are the one who are there when we email blast for a need the foundation has. They are the future population we help, and who in return, help the cause and the foundation.
