I did a search of the site and did not get a clear answer if this common.

Mine were used when doing a FNAB, which I had about 8 of them, checking the stomach/kidney/liver after pains or out if range test results, legs for DVT, and checking the carotid arteries where it was called a Doppler. I forget what the specificity, accuracy and sensitivity are for the cervical lymph nodes, but thought I recall it being fairly high, maybe even more so than a PET/CT scan in certain aspects, and palpable exam. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3894696/Same abstract in pdf: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3894696/pdf/ci130056.pdf
