Just to let everyone know. I am down four weeks and have four more to go. I am still eating by mouth, eggs, soups, pizza[I WISH].
My mouth is now starting to get little sores on the sides, but my pain has not increased too much from two weeks ago. I feel 100% better now that the Ethyol shots have been discontinued. I still continue to work full time.
Once again, thanks to all who have responded and shared their journey with me and all who visit this site.
Tomorrow, 5/30/2009, I will walk a lap around a track in the Survivor lap in an event sponsered in Pottstown Pa. We have the 5th largest walk in the country. When I walk that lap I will be praying for all who have been touched by Cancer, and all on this site.

You sound really good for having been in 4 weeks WFC. I too will do several laps in the Survivor Walk in our Relay for Life this afternoon. Best of luck to you.

Thanks William 1949. I keep waiting for the BOMB to drop, but I am taking this journey one day at a time.
I REALLY do miss my pizza!

Way to go wfc, maybe you're going to be one of the few that skates through. I hope so.

Are you sure they remembered to the machine on? Hope it keeps up this way. Why 40 instead of the usual 35? Enjoy your walk.

Take care,
Eileen

Eileen,

It is actually 39, 28 from the top the head to the collar bone on both sides and then 11 directly to the tumor.
I can hear the machine and it moves, so I hope it's on! LOL
Thanks!

wfc: See if you RO doctor has a shield for your cheeks. Mine created what looks like X-ray blocks that dentist use from wax for me to use. They have helped with cheek sores.

BTW: I miss pizza terribly also!!!! I keep trying things I usually love, but only after 1-2 bites have to give it to a family member to fnish. Can't wait until the BUDS come back.

Congratuations!!! Hoping the next 4 weeks go easy on you.
