I have been receiving Ethyol shots daily, one in the back of each arm, since week one. I would get the shots and then the Rad. Well, last week, week three, on Wednesday, I got a little sick and threw up. The doctors were not sure if it was from the pain med or the Ethyol shots so they stopped the shots for a few days. On Tuesday this week, I received the shots the rad and came home to be violently ill for almost 12 hours. I had the chills, sweats, throwing up and more. I have never felt that sick in my entire life. Needless to say, the Ethyol, for me, is a thing of the past.
If anyone on this forum gets Ethyol, I hope you have a much better experience then I did.

Some of us that have had the Ethyol shots did fine but many others have had a similar experience as yours.

I was able to get thru 5 weeks of the stuff and I had a similar reaction as yours, went in and grabbed hold of the LA table and was turning a very nice shade of Kermit the frog green. Got shuffled back into the chemo treatment room for some IV anti-nausea meds and after about an hour was back to "normal". Two days later and the same reaction spelled the end of the Ethyol treatments for me.
