I am into the 2nd week, tomorrow is chemo day. A little queasy stomach at times, appetite gone but making myself eat. Disappointed that i BBQ'd chicken legs last week and could'nt really taste them.
Spent weekend sailing, something magical about being on the water, felt the best I have in weeks. This weekend we have a fubd raiser for the Huntsman Cancer Foundation which I am planning to single hand the race.
Tiredness has not been a problem but ear aches have been very strong. I guess the popping of ears driving over the mountains takes a toll.

Good for you for finding ways to enjoy yourself during treatment. Food will get less and less tasty, but you have the right attitude about making yourself eat.

Do you know how to update your signature line in your profile? It's helpful when people respond if they know what type of cancer you had and what type of treatment you are receiving.

Don't know what chemo you are on or the frequency (it helps us all if you do a Signature Line thing) but IF you are on Cisplatin and If you are getting the big 3 doses vs. the once a week regimen then be sure and mention your ear problems to your MO.

Sorry about the signature line. I hope I updated correctly. Yesterday evening was not one of my better nights due to nausea. Compazine doesn't seem to do much but Lorazapan seems to work. I find need to stay on top of taking Advil for headaches and ear or the discomfort is hard to to relieve.

I haven't heard of to many people getting the weekly Cisplatin having a rough time from it but all of us can react differently. That's just part of the joy of our Tx!!

You still need to mention any problem to all of your doctors.

Watch your pain levels and make sure you let your doc know when advil doesnt work anymore. Dont let this get away from you. Alot of OC patients get fentanyl patches, they are easy and work very well. You put it on and change it every 3 days.

There are many very good anti nasuea meds out there. Some of them are very expensive, just outrageous at around $100 per pill. Thats also something you must stay on top of or it can sneak up on you and get out of control very quickly.

Best of luck with your treatments.
