The radiation has been a [ain as all three days spent over 45 minutes in the mask while yheu did the radiation and took shots. Only discomfort was from back of head on the plastic support. Techs are very nice. Tues was Chemo day and it was a piece of cake. I guess they use a steroid in the solution. Came home had a enegy drink, yogurt, spagetti and ausage and a milk shake. Yesterday a.m. woke up with acid reflex which made radiation a pain. When i called the chemo team they said "oops should have told you about that", took a Zantac and was fine. A little tired yesterday but feel great today. Looking forward to spending the weekend on the boat. Life is good.

Age 58 at Dx, HPV16+ SCC, Stage IV BOT+2 nodes, non smoker, casual drinker, exercise nut, Cisplatin x 3 & concurrent IMRT x 35,(70 Gy), no surgery, no Peg, Tx at Moffitt over Aug 06. Jun 07, back to riding my bike 100 miles a wk. Now doing 12 Spin classes and 60 outdoor miles per wk. Nov 13 completed Hilly Century ride for Cancer, 104 miles, 1st Place in my age group. Apr 2014 & 15, Spun for 9 straight hrs to raise $$ for YMCA's Livestrong Program. Certified Spin Instructor Jun 2014.
