Thank you all for your kind words they are very helpful. I was very blessed to have a brother like Jorge. His strength amazed all of us. He fought all the way and never gave up hope. We thought and prayed for a miracle at the begining and then we prayed for his strength. Today, we pray for his peace. It is lonely and sometimes overwhelming with the thought that he is not here. The pain will never go away. I will just have to learn to live with it. A couple of weeks before he passed he spoke to my daughter about her quinceanera and told her that she was to have it no matter what. As we prepare, with heavy hearts, we have agreed to make a donation in his memory to the cancer foundation. For those who come to this site for comfort, please know that it is here. For those who come here with cancer, keep fighting and make everyday special. There are many who love and support you.

Noemi,

So sorry to hear about your loss, sounds like Jorge had much love and support during his ordeal and has found peace in the new journey. I lost my sister to SCC about 10 months ago, she was also full of strength and fought this cancer with all her might. I will miss her always, there is just a hole in my life that she always filled. Time does make the loss less sharp, but it will always be there. My thoughts to you and your family.
