Hello, my name is Sarah and I am a 42 female who was diagnosed with tongue cancer (Well differentiated, TIN1MX on May 1, 2006). I have never smoked and I have only an occasional glass of wine with dinner. When I was dianosed two years ago, I had a was a brand new mom (daughter Julia was born on March 17, 2006).

On May 11, 2006, I spent my first Mother's Day weekend in the hospital, recovering from surgery on my tongue and a partial neck disection.

This year, I was in the hospital again on May 11th, recovering from surgery-my c-section. On May 10th at 11:55 pm, my son, Andrew came into this world. He is amazing, as is my two year old daughter. They are constant reminders of why I went through surgery, 35 radiation treatments and 3 chemo treatments.

So two years later, a lot has changed. I am living my life, and I wish the same for all of you! [img][/img]

That's great Sarah. Lets pray they find a cure to all cancers by the time your children grow up.

Sarah - what a wonderful way to celebrate Mother's Day this year. I was so happy to hear this from you as I remember reading your posts with a lot of interest - I also had surgery on May 11, 2006, very similar to yours. Here's to enjoying your children as they grow up!
