Hi All,
April is Cancer awareness month in Canada.
Yesterday I did a radio interview for CBC Radio. The focus of the interview was on oral cancer detection and prevention. I'm not sure when it airs but, was happy to be asked to participate.
My thoughts and prayers are wit all of you.
Cheers,
Mike

Post a link to the audio file if it's posted on the CBC site!

April 2006: Husband dx by dentist with leukoplakia on tongue. Oral surgeon's biopsy 4/28/06: Moderate dysplasia; pathology report warned of possible "skip effect." ENT's excisional biopsy (got it all) 5/31/06: SCC in situ/small bit superficially invasive. Early detection saves lives.

Hey Mike,

Glad to have you back on the forum and moving along in the advocacy department. Congratulations. Can't wait to hear it. Did you get to see my TV appearance this week?

Maybe we could start a multinational TV/Radio series called the Mike & Jerry "Oral Cancer Awareness Show". Actually, I think Jerry & Mike sounds better.

Jerry,
I'm only trying to emulate those I look up to. Your celebrity status in the dental world is on the rise with all of your appearances on TV etc. It's all for a cause that is important to both of us.
I have to say that I think "Mike & Jerry" has a better ring to it. LOL
Cheers my friend,
Mike

RE: Jerry and Mike or Mike and Jerry,
too much like Tom and Jerry or Mike and Ikes.

"Oral Cancer Awareness Show" sounds like a fundraiser.

How about: "Dental Duo:Watch Your Mouth"

Successful lumpectomy, sentinal nodes clear, RT only-2008 Reconstruction of mandible w fibula free flap-Jan 09. TORS removal of begnin pappiloma from esophagus-2010. Masectomy,rt breast 2013.

Malka,

Ditto from me. I love the "southern" sense of humor.

I hope you don't mean that Pa is now in the south?
