well i found this site really helpful and decided to join you. i wish everyone to find a way to be cured and go on with our lives.
i first found out that i had tongue cancer in 2000. since then i have done 5 operations due to recurrence of the cancer on the same or nearby places of my tongue, have tried chemo, radiation to the tongue and a month ago chemo along with radiation in the neck. unfortunately last year the cancer has moved to the lymph nodes from both sides and i had a neck dissection followed by radiation and chemo(parapaltin+Erbitux). now once more the cancer reoccured on my tongue. till now only small parts of the tongue were cut. but now my doctor told me that i must have 1/2 glossectomy. could anyone advise me if it would be better to have brachytherapy instead of glossectomy? which do you think it would be the best solution? tahnk you very much
