I didn't see this on the RSS feed:

http://www.rochesterdandc.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080105/NEWS01/801050318/1002/NEWS

and I know this only applies to those of us within the area that Wegman's serves (they have stores in 5 states). It is a huge thing for a supermarket chain as big as they are to decide to not carry any tobacco products. If you live near a Wegmans, you might consider shopping there if you don't and if you are already a regular Wegman's shopper, stop by their customer service desk next time you are in the store and thank them for their decision--they are keeping a tally of how many people thank them versus those that complain!

Twelve years ago when my wife & I opened her restaurant we opened totally smoke free. Neither of us smoked and we both hated smelling smoke in a restaurant when we ate. We were the only restaurant in the entire Tampa Bay area to be smoke free and we got many many more Thank You's than complaints. The American Cancer Society even took out a full page "ad" in the Sunday edition of the St Pete Times to list all the smoke free restaurants in our area and Habana Cafe was the only name that appeared on the entire page. Now it's the law in Fl as well as many other states but it made restaurant life much more interesting to be the pioneer.
