The CT said enlarged parotid (same side as my dissection and radio), but no large masses, calculus, small tumour but looks innocent. My ENT just called me (nice of him on his holidays!), and said it appears to be innocent, but doesn't have any explanation for it. Has anyone else had this problem? Cheers! Tizz (in a warm sunny OZ summer!)

I haven't had the problem you speak of. Personally I don't think of anything innocent about a problem in the surgical area. After you get it checked out please let us know what it is. Hopefully someone with a similier problem will respond more in detail what it could be.

Have you had ear aches as a result of the parotid problem? John is having recurrant ear aches and has been put on an antibiotic by our local Doc until we go back to the Oncologist next week. Just curious as to your symptons. Amy

I had a CT last May to investigate my swollen/puffy cheek which was sore. The scan at that time found no sinusitus, and about the same results as this scan, except the histology didn't mention an enlarged parotid. From memory (gettin' old now!) I did have that swelling there then, though not as pronounced. My ENT/surgeon doesn't seem perturbed, and I'll see him next February at the H & N Clinic.
Amy, I don't get severe ear aches, just sometimes twinges in the ear and the neck (under the chin).
Anyway, I hope you all had a good Xmas :-)
Cheers!
Tizz
