Hi everyone!

Has anyone taken the above which is an all-natural non-toxic extract(or so it claims) from mushroom?

Recently my sister(poor thing's having more nightmares then me about the disease coming back) got me these capsules from her doctor at a natural medicine centre, but i'm unsure as to take it or chuck it in the bin!

I researched it on the net & there have been long term(10 yrs) clinical trials which show significant immune system benefit.

Ofcourse it's not a cure but claims to enhance depressed immune systems, prolong duration of complete remission & survival,& benefits in nutritional or therapeutic health management plan.

I'm wondering about any possible side effects as i don't need them anymore....have had enough from the treatment!!!

I'd really appreciate someone sharing their experiences,if any from this product!
Thanks.

I'd be curious what clinical trials you are speaking of. I have done a serach of medical databases and not found reference to any peer reviewed trials. If you have the source I'm curious.

Darrell...I don't think it's the matake mushroom(or whatever it's referred to) as haven't read anything about the coriolus versicolor linked to it.

Coriolus versicolor is the latin name & chinese is Yun Zhi(cloud mushroom),whereas Japanese is Kawaratake & it's commonly known as Turkey tail.

Brian...will try to locate the source & forward it to you.

Brian.....I got the info on clinical trials from the source below:
http://www.philsteinberg.com/byrec/22.html

I'm unsure as to it's reliability & there's so much info on this product that it could drive one crazy especially if unfamiliar with the medical jargon!!!!

Here's a link to him on Quackwatch

http://www.quackwatch.org/04ConsumerEducation/Nonrecorg/aanc.html

There's a lot of info but very little substance.
There is hardly any real data in the so-called clinical trials.

Most clinical trials on these mushrooms were done in Japan and China. Try some searches in the PubMed database.
