Sometimes it feels like my tongue and mouth are being cooked in salt. Does anyone know why? Has it happened to someone else? Also, after radiation I lost my voice for about 10 days, then I was able to talk normally and now it seems that I'm loosing it again. Thanks so much to all the people who answers.

Noone had any idea what caused it. This lasted for several weeks, by then I couldn't eat anything and could only drink bottled water and Ensure Plus(I didn't have a peg and only lost 5 lbs). By the time I got done with radiation and for about a year afterward, I couldn't taste salt or sugar at all. You could put a pile of each in front of me and I couldn't tell which was which. Don't remember exactly when it came back, but it is almost normal now.
