I had a conversation with someone from the NCI today and a little gem of a statement just came out in the conversation that I thought I would pass along in respect to recurrence, and the psychological aspects of survivorship. It was this.... After treatment you may be declared cancer-free, but that does not mean you are free of your cancer......... I was trying to explain the issues of survivorship.

After having some members pass on can be a shock to some people. When Lynn passed I was shocked. I had no idea she was that ill. I would have liked to email her more often than I did. Christine was kind enough to private email me with Scotts final couple of weeks. It would move anyone. As I continue to travel down this bumpy road I want to share my experiences with all my family on the OCF Website. I often wonder what it will be like if the chemo stops working. It's human nature to wonder about this.

Dear Danny ...you would have to be made of iron not to wonder about this. We are all in our own little world of denial but, for now the chemo is doing its job. Yeahhhh, all we need is time for someone to come up with that magic bullet. For now, I know I want to know how you are coping , it is so very generous of you to share your journey with us.
Take care Danny
