Still doing well -- driving myself to all treatments, working full time, eating pretty much anything.
Lost a few pounds last week, more due to disinterest in food, since it all tastes the same -- lousy. Making myself eat more this week, and the weight went back up a little bit. I have about 35 excess pounds on me, so not concerned so far.
More dryness and mucous, and upper chest is tender from radiation. Don't need to shave as often -- particularly on the neck. Fatigue is there, but manageable.
My RO gave me permission to skip Friday radiation to go to my son's orientation at college (parental attendance is requested), so I am looking forward to that. Had to have assurance from RO that it would have NO impact on my treatment first.
Staying on course -- only 36 calendar days left until treatment is complete! Jeff SCC Right BOT Dx 3/28/2007 T2N2a M0G1,Stage IVa Bilateral Neck Dissection 4/11/2007 39 x IMRT, 8 x Cisplatin Ended 7/11/07 Complete response to treatment so far!!

Jack actually had 2 treatments that were cancelled because the machine had a problem - and he's fine. They just add it to the end so you get the required number in.
Enjoy the orientation. I remember that well with our son. It made me feel just a little bit nostalgic for being young. Mercifully that passed.
Hope you continue to do well. Regards JoAnne
