The tumors they have picked to measure and track have shrunk another almost 50% from 6 weeks ago. This puts them at about 25% of the original size. (96 cu. cm to 27 cu cm) Another 6 weeks and two more treatments and another CT Scan, then we will re - evaluate where I am in treatment and where I'll be going. He says I should even be able to eat more since my liver isn't swollen as much. My stomach will have more room to spread out!! Isn't that what every woman wants: room for her stomach to spread out? This gives new meaning in my mind to the words: "may the force be with you" It's my friends that have been the "force" with your thoughts, caring and prayers. Take care, Dinah

This kind of news helps us all, so keep it up! Doctors have a way of saying things that do not really help a girl. I liked when my face was black and blue and swollen twice its size and they come in and say how great I look!I guess they think at the total health factor level, not at our egos.Gnelson , Stage IV,2 yr.Cancer free.

I am so very happy for you!!! It's re-assuring for everyone that no matter how bad things may seem right now - there is always hope and things can and do get better. I remember when my husband was in the hospital back in September for his first 1-week in-hospital chemo/rad treatment. One of his doctors came into his room while making his rounds, sat down in a chair next to him and said..."Y'know....these treatments may NOT help you at all" which he said with a grim look on his face. When my husband told me this - I was in shock! I know there are no guarantees with anything, but for a doctor to say this to a scared patient only "beginning" his treatment journey, to me is horrendous. So I am always glad to hear great news from the dear people in this forum - it proves that no matter what stage in the game one is in - good things can happen. Keep up the good work and God bless.
