My dang throat is already getting itchy and irritated inside. I don't want to ask for anything yet so what can I do for at least another week? I am trying the salt/Bk.soda/ water mix but its not doing a thing. Iced water isn't and neither is hot coffee. Next week they are putting me on everything at room temperature. This is torture. I am calling the Pres. LOL

I need advice. I love you and thanx.
Barbara~

Barb, I think the Pres. likes cheeseburgers and dill pickles, he won't be much help. Iced tea really helps John's throat ,and Danny Boy's ice cream smoothies helped until tx #20 or so. I'm sure you will get lots more suggestions too. Amy

I need an ice cream smoothie IV. Then I can just get fat, sleep all the time and only wake up for another ray of radshine. I gotta feeling I am gonna be a major whiner. Are y'all ready for it?

Love and hugglets,
Barbara~

Whine on-whine on- Harvest moon up in the sky - that is a great song [and I've had too much wine] Barb, I think this is a very safe place to whine. Amy

Barb...this is going to sound pedantic, but have you tried Chloraseptic..?

I don't know if your Doc will allow it, but I am using post-surgery to the tonsil and it helps w/ about 30-40% of the discomfort, plus it's fairly benign.

Just something to think about...I also gargle with Hydrogen Peroxide, but that might hurt too much based on your current pain..?

We are with you, whine all you want!!

(It'll be my turn soon enough smile

Thanks Michael. Thing is gargle doesn't help the pain since its in my voice box which way down and inside there. I am on Miles solution which is cortisone, Tetracyclin which I can't spell and some other stuff I can't spell. LOL I am also on Lortab Elixer which is Hydrocodone and noting works so good yet.
I will see the doc Monday and he will no doubt try a new something.
May Gods bless,
Barbara~

Barb, I don't have any good suggestions since a gargle won't reach it. Maybe you just need a stronger pain med. than the Lortab? I was told there is no such thing as whining here--it's called *venting* back not too long ago when I was venting/whining during my treatment wink

So please feel free to whine/vent as much as you need to. I'll be listening and trying tohelp if I can!

Thanx Nelie. I am swishing the salt/ bk. soda just in case I may get a sore in my mouth plus it keeps the spit flowing.
I am so sick of shakes. I never in my life thought I would be but UGH and Blah. frown I know week 4 is when it starts to get really bad so I am trying to prepare myself.
Gods love on you all,
Barbara~
