Hi Im Stephany.

If you dont know me, my mom has suffered with recurrent SCC tumors in her jaw bone. The docs have told her there is nothing that can be done. Our only hope now is hollistic remedies. Does anyone know of anything for the pain and to help with this disease? We are open to anything at this point. My mom is in a lot of pain, dropped tons of weight...Cant eat really or speak. She now eats baby food. She had 3 surgeries and 6 week sof daily radiation which has really taken its toll on her. Does anyone know of anything to help her with the pain an anything that would help kill this tumor that is in her? Please let me know and feel free to email me at
[email protected] I would love to hear from you
Thanks so much
Stephanie

ITs Stephany again, I forgot to add that she has a tumor back in her jaw bone. :-( therefore, HBO treatments are not an option either.
Thanks
Stephany

I'm sorry, Stephany. HBO doesn't help tumors. It only helps deal with some of the side effects of treatment.

As for pain, have her docs been unwilling or unable to help?

Thanks Ken. THe docs are sending her to pain management next week. I hope they can help. But the docs are saying no treatment for the cancerous tumor.

Do you know of any hollistic remedies?
Stephany

Stephany, I have been following your posts for a while now. I an sorry that I didn't have any words to help for you or your mother. I do want to caution you about the many people who will want to sell you nearly anything to "cure" or help your mother. Just be very careful. I know of no herbal or wholistic cure for advanced cancer.

Spend your time with your mother instead of looking for false hope. Be absolutely certain you have gotten the best medical advice, and get other opinions even now.

Take care

Mark, 21 Year survivor, SCC right tonsil, 3 nodes positive, one with extra-capsular spread. I never asked what stage (would have scared me anyway) Right side tonsillectomy, radical neck dissection right side, maximum radiation to both sides, no chemo, no PEG, age 40 when diagnosed.

Mark
Thank you so much for your message. Minnnie also warned me about that and my father said the same thing. I guess the best thing I can do now is be there for my mom. I just feel so desparate, that I should be doing something and finding a cure if I can. But my mom is getting treatment from the best docs over here in LA, and all I can do is pray and love my mom. THanks Mark for the warning.

Stephanie-

You are amazing! I know that you have done everything in your power to help your mom...and believe me that shows your amazing love and hope for her and I am sure she knows it. You and your entire family are always in my prayers. Please don't hesitate to call me any time, we aren't too far away from each other and I'd be willing to come visit and/or help in any way I can.
