The procedure went well and everything looked good. An added benefit is that sudenly he can swallow! Prior to surgery he felt like there was an obsruction. He doesn't know what they did but he is thrilled to begin eating again. But, morning after his surgery he could hardly get out of bed his body ached so bad. Today 2 days later, he is still uncomfortable. Has anyone encountered this? We will definitely let his surgeon know before his next surgery.
Husband with SCC base of tongue, 2 nodes involved. 7 weeks rad therapy, 2 cyles chemo completed 10/31/03.
