As some of you know things have been moving really fast as far as docs and tests for me lately. At the same time I was looking for a gastro for my stomach pain I went to my ENT for a checkup. I was coming down with a cold, and had a headache in my eye. He sent me to his partner that specializes in sinus. CT was good and he put me on mild antihistimins(sp) Flonase & 6 day pack of steroids. O.K. here I am a month later and my ears are still clogged (opened once or twice but not for long) I've been back on the steroids again a second time. I'm asking for ideas here - since those of us with little or no saliva can't do the Sudafed thing that every doc recommends. Are we really that limited??? There has to be somethng that would help? I know I would feel better if I wasn't doing chemo and head cold (this ear thing is driving me nuts) Sorry if it sounds silly to worry about, but it really is disorienting. What do any of you do to unstuff a head???
Thanks, Dinah | | |

It is a sinus medication, it keeps me dry and less headaches. There is one side affect, everything smells like onions! gnelson

He takes another combo called ALJ from the same company for congestion in his chest. It is all natural and doesn't dry you up like sinus medications do.

I shared this with the ENT last month when I was a little sinusy, and he told me about something OTC that one squirts up one's nose. For some reason this struck me as hilariously funny and I could hardly stop laughing to talk, which did not endear me to this senior, very talented surgeon who did such incredible work in my mouth. I will behave better on Wednesday when I next see him. | | |
