Me and my dad were going through some of my moms things. I found this jotted down on a piece of paper.


Dream as if you'll live forever...Live as if you'll die tommorow.


Was Primary caregiver to my mom who had stage IV, SCC, Supraglottic with Mets to 4 nodes. Diagnosed Feb 04, died unexpectedly from complications from treatment December 17, 2004.

That is beautiful and it is how I have been living since my diagnosis 2 years ago. Thanks for sharing that with us.

Dear Karen,

Your Mother must have been a very wise woman. Why can't we be born with such knowledge instead of using our whole lives to figure it out. If we ever do!! Thanks for sharing this with us.

Ya! That's one of the benefits of this damn disease is the change in my outlook on life. I guess thats what wisdom is all about, lifes experiences teaching us hard lessons! Cheers to your Mom! Erik
