He is taking Codeine for pain and Musitis Mouthwash. Upon awakening he found he could not get his tongue from the inside of his mouth. After applying lots of water his tongue was freed, but he felt a crack and the roof of his mouth actually cracked he said. He believes it healed itself. Any suggestions. Has anyone had this happen?

Also there are products out there for Dry mouth.
Biotene products such as: Oral balance gel, tooth paste, mouth wash, and moisturizer. You can get these at most Drug stores.
Some people use a room humidifier as well.
Hope things are going better. Take care, Diane

He has a great prescribed mouthwash that he uses. We looked into the humdiifier thing and if the room was 50 or over the specialist told us we did not need one. I bought a humidifier and also a hygro...(for the spelling) to help with his mouth problems. We will see the doctor on Tuesday. There was no pain and the problem seems to have corrected itself. I may go to the drugstore tomorrow to see if there is anything else they have for dry mouth. It has been a problem where he wakes up and his tongue is sticking to the side of his mouth. I cant even imagine what that would be like. I am still having a problem thinking about the mask. WOW..Just wondering about this.
