Hi Chris,

I wanted to say hello to a fellow newbie. I was diagnosed with SCC just over a month ago and am trying to make heads and tails of all this. I have an 18 month old so I think I can imagine some of the things you are feeling. I try and live in the moment. It's hard sometimes, but it helps when I am overwhelmed with it all. As the others have said, become informed and go for a second opinion. We'll get through this!!

Lisa,

I thought it would be nice to give you a formal introduction to the 'hood. Welcome and sorry you had to find us. Ask and it shall be answered.

And to top it off, I probably should have put you under "Introduce Yourself". Sorry.

Ed

Lisa!
Welcome to the group! You will find that you are now added to many prayer lists around the world, too. It must have been very hard to endure your treatments and still have energy to keep up with an 18 month baby! But they do give you a reason to keep up the fight, don't they?! My youngest was 7 when I was diagnosed. The energy does return though, played tennis with her this summer!! Your life will get easier too! - Kris

Hello Chris,

Sorry you had to find us but glad for you that you did. You won't find a better source of information on Oral Cancer then on this website.
Ask any question you want and someone will reply.

What type of treatment are you going to receive.
What was the stage of your cancer? Knowing more about what you have will allow us to offer suggestions and offer questions you will want to ask your doctors.

Please keep us posted and I'll be praying for a good outcome for you and your family.

Danny Boy
