Hi. My name is Karen and my mother has just completed 6 weeks of radiation and chemo to treat her tongue cancer. Her doctors have been recommending that she also undergo the radioactive implant procedure. It sounds horrendous and she is more frightened of this than of anything she has yet experienced. Is there anyone out there who is a senior (or who is caring for a senior) who has gone through this procedure and can tell me what your experience of it was like?
