I am the caregiver for my wife. She had a t4 turmor on the floor of her mouth. The doc also had to remove her lower left jaw bone. This was done Jan 2004. She had 34 rad treatments. She had all the problems with dry mouth that so many have. She has been cancer free from that time. She lost about a hundred pounds. This from not being able to eat. She has now gained weight. At the present time she has had 20 hbo treatments prior to having inplants in her left jaw. She will have 10 post surgey hbo treatments. This is so she can have dentures. She is so sick of having to mash here food to eat. Has well does insurance pay on hbo treatments.

To answer your question, my medical insurance covered the HBO treatments.

Glad to see your wife is doing better. I know it must have been tough on both of you. I didn't or haven't had HBO treatments yet but my insurance does cover them. I am now trying to find an oral surgeon that is willing to do the deed to my maxed-out radiated gums.
Best wishes,
Ed
