I want to encourage anyone with a loved one having long term significant food issues related to HNC, that making the switch to a Vitamix has changed our life. It has expanded the real foods my husband can eat and allowed us to enjoy the same foods at mealtime. I just eat the Vitamix recipe with him. So, if you are wondering if it makes a difference and is worth the money my thought is probably only if you are having a real struggle with food. For us it has been a game changer. Notice the support OCF with Vitamix on the far right of this site.

You are absolutely correct!!! The Vitamix is not just like any other blender. Its an amazing machine that is far better than I ever imagined. Plus the company is A++ with excellent customer service standing behind every single machine they produce. Even their reconditioned models come with a 3 year warranty.

The Vitamix is definitely a life changing machine to those OC survivors who struggle permanently with their eating. Its worth every cent!!!

I had a Vitamix before OC and it was a nice-to-have. Now it is a lifesaver.

Please note that we have a program for people on permanent PEG tube feeding or a non resolving acute dysphagia ( persisting long after treatment) where they can qualify to get one at no charge from OCF. Please note that this program is supported financially by those that actually buy one from OCF, so it is a negative cost program in a perfect world. So far that has not been the actual case over three years of running this program and we give away far more than we sell. Note that while we do get them at a discount from Vitamix, they still cost OCF hundreds of dollars each. If anyone needs one please consider OCF as a source vs buying from Amazon or elsewhere. All Vitamix dealers are "fair trade" dealers, and that means no one can discount them, though they will write copy in their ads or state some nonrealistic retail price they are discounting from to get you to buy from them. We are all by contract, only allowed to sell them at the prices on the Vitamix web site, whether you are little OCF, or giant Amazon. Just remember when you purchase from us you are supporting another patient who has both eating and financial disparities.
