Hello every one. Tim from R.I here, First cancer was stage 3 prostate 2012. Surgery to remove and complete recovery. Next one is stage3 tuner in left tonsil , diagnosed 12/2017, surgery too remove tumor and lymph nodes left side 2/2017, 6 weeks radiation starting 4/2017. Been a tough road,but was getting better, until this week my throat and mouth started feeling like l was back at the 6th week of treatment. Spent most of Saturday in the ER. New scan shows a new 22mm soft tissue problem in throat. Back to Dana Farber Monday!! Hopefully I'll have a positive outcome Monday, I'll update later. Good luck to all. Timbo

Welcome to OCF, Timbo! Im so sorry to read what you have already been thru! The recovery phase can be a very frustrating time. We can never get well as rapidly as we think we should.

Sounds like you will have a biopsy coming up in the near future to find out what the new soft tissue issue could be. With just finishing rads a short time ago it cold be any number of things. Hopefully its nothing serious!!! Keep us posted how you make out.

And it feels like the hits just keep on coming, but you will persevere. That is because you have the information and resources from the OCF site, as well as the grande dame of them all - early detection. When my 2nd oral cancer showed up I said "hit me with your best shot" and they did. But, having said that, I am still here 9 years later. There will be many dark days ahead, but just know that the sun will shine again. You will get through this. Hugs/
